Irina Ries

Irina Ries is born fall 1982 in Wiesbaden.

After graduating high school she studies acting at the Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding and the Conservatory for Musik and Theatre in Munich. Meanwhile she works for the  Residenztheater Munich, Metropoltheater Munich and E.T.A.-Hoffmann-Theater Bamberg. Further she plays in numerous productions at the Akademietheater Munich, for instance Cate in BLASTED (directed by D. Keller). Being an acting student, she takes part in several readings and concerts and is in Felix Bärwald's short movie IN BETWEEN as Luna.

2007 she has her debut at the Stadttheater Gießen as Jeanne in Mouawad's VERBRENNUNGEN and plays as ensemble member in various productions till summer 2011 (i.e. Doris/DAS KUNSTSEIDENE MÄDCHEN/director: C. Fries; Irina/DREI SCHWESTERN/T. Goritzki; Marie/WOYZECK/T. Goritzki; Stella/ENDSTATION SEHNSUCHT/W. J. Starczewski; Hilde, Inge, Coco/GRAF ÖDERLAND/D. Schulz; Constanze/AMADEUS/A. Jacob; Elektra/DIE ORESTIE/T. Georgi).

Jobs follow in Munich, Marburg, Eisenach and Meiningen. Like the one woman show HEUTE ABEND: LOLA BLAU!/C. Kochan. Ries goes to Junges Staatstheater Wiesbaden as actress and director (DIE WANZE and PATRICK ANDERTALB) and is living in Gießen again since 2016. Besides being actress and director, Ries works as voice actress at and gieves workshops in “body and voice”.
