Two Faces

Two Faces

There is a video exhibition.
It is about prejudice.

The project is called: Two Faces.

It is a video installation.
And a performance.
The project is with students.
They come from a secondary school.

It is about prejudice.
And about abilities.

What is it about in general?

Young people are close to finishing school.
They ask themselves:
Who am I?
What am I good at?
What do I want to do later?

Many people have prejudices
against students from secondary schools.

Prejudice means:
I have an opinion.
My opinion is not always correct.
Sometimes I am wrong.
When I learn something new,
I may change my opinion.

The project shows:
These prejudices are often not true.

#### What is it about exactly? The project took place in Leverkusen. Students took part for half a year.

They worked with theatre.
They made videos.
They thought about themselves.

The main question was:
What do I want?
And what do I not want?
The young people showed their thoughts
in an exhibition you could walk through.
And in short films.

Visitors could learn a lot
about the young people.
For example about fears.
About hopes.
And about strengths.

The project shows:
Every person has many sides.

The premiere was in 2012.
The place was Leverkusen.

The concept was by
Dominik Breuer.

The project was created
with the Young Theatre Leverkusen.

It was supported
by the Rotary Club Leverkusen-Opladen.
