Interspecies Families

There is a new theare series.
The series is called “Interspecies Families”.

This is English.
It means: Families made of different kinds of beings.

The series has 10 episodes.
There is one new performance every month.

You can see it at the German Museum in Nuremberg.
The museum is also called the Future Museum.

What is it about in general?

The theatre series is fun.
Sometimes it is funny.
Sometimes it is a little strange.
Sometimes it is critical.
Sometimes it makes you think.
There is acting.
There is dance.
We talk with experts about the future.
We also ask the audience questions.

What is it about exactly?

There are scenes like in every family.
There are live talks with artificial intelligence.
There are live talks with experts on the future.
The audience can take part.

The theatre series asks:
How do people live together
with technology, animals, and plants?
It tells the story of a special family.
In this series, Interspecies Family means:
Families made of people, pets, plants, and technology.
This family includes:
• two people
• ten earthworms
• many plants
• one computer with artificial intelligence

Everyone wants to live well together.
They live in a small house in the museum.
They visit a robot aunt.
They travel into a virtual world.
They talk about life and death.
The earthworms help so that
people and plants become soil again after death.
The family asks:
Who needs what?
Who uses whom?

Gunnar Seidel and Alexandra Rauh are the directors.
They think together with the actors
about what happens on stage.
They work with the body and with movement.
They also work with thoughtful texts.

Each episode has its own topic:
• Can we trust artificial intelligence?
• What will we eat in the future?
• How will we live when we are old?

The theatre series is never fully finished.
