As Good As You

As Good As You is a dance performance.

The piece combines dance and modern technology.

It is about:
Robots.
Artificial intelligence.
And about being happy.

The audience is in the middle of the action.
This is called: immersive.

What is it about in general?

The piece asks an important question:
Will machines soon be as good as humans?
Can robots help us be happy?

New computer programs can do a lot today.
They can write texts.
They can make images.
They can appear creative.

The piece asks:
What does this mean for us humans?

What is it about exactly?

At the center is a dancer.
Her name is Sarah Plattner.

She moves in a special stage space.
The space looks like a park.
But it is artificial.
It is made by humans and technology.

Sarah works with computer programs.
These programs use artificial intelligence.

The piece explores one idea:
The idea is called transhumanism.

Transhumanism means:
Technology should improve humans.
It should help people become happier.
The piece is not about performance.
Not about perfection.
Not about pressure.

Instead, it is about:
Taking a break.
Enjoying.
Feeling.
Finding inspiration.
Letting go of control.

The dancer tries to find out:
What makes us truly human?
What can technology change?

At the end, one question remains:
Does artificial intelligence change us?
Or do we stay the same,
just with new tools?
