Irina Ries

Irina Ries is an actress and a director.

She was born in 1982 in Wiesbaden.
She studied acting in Munich.
She finished her studies in 2007.

During her studies, she acted at well-known theaters.
For example at the Residenztheater in Munich.

From 2007 to 2011, she worked at the city theater in Gießen.

After that, she acted in other cities.
For example in Marburg, Eisenach, and Meiningen.

From 2014 to 2016, she worked in Wiesbaden.
She acted and directed plays at the Young State Theater.

In 2017, she traveled through Europe and Brazil for one year.

Since then, she works as a freelancer and lives in Gießen.

She performs a solo play called Lola Blau.
She also performed at the Bruchwerk Theater in Siegen.

Irina Ries is also a voice artist and a coach.
She gives courses on voice, body, and stage presence.

She fights for better working conditions in theaters.
In 2018, she won a prize for this work: Der Faust.

She is active in a theater union.
